Investing in Our Youth
Dennis Donohue led the effort to upgrade Cesar Chavez Library and to ensure all public school students in Salinas received library cards. As Mayor, he will continue to invest in programs that support children and youth.
Experience to Get Things Done
Dennis Donohue served 3 terms as Mayor of Salinas and has decades of experience as a community leader. As Mayor he will make sure the Salinas Police Department is once again fully-funded and restore order and stability to the City Council to get things done for Salinas residents.
Ag-Tech Leader
Dennis initiated the ag tech industry connections between Salinas Valley and Silicon Valley which has led to an Innovation Center, multiple startups coming to Salinas, and major events such as the recent Biological Summit and FIRA
agricultural robotics forum. These initiatives have strengthened our local economy by bringing visitors to Salinas, creating jobs, and supporting our local agriculture businesses.
Longstanding Leader for Salinas
Dennis has been a longstanding community leader in Salinas. In addition to previously serving as Mayor, he was a Chamber of Commerce Chair, Central California Grower Shipper Chair, Hartnell Board Foundation Member, and a member of the National Steinbeck Center. He was named the Salinas Valley Chamber Citizen of the Year. He has a proven track record of serving and leading the Salinas community.
